⁶ At that time, Rezin^(A) king of Aram recovered Elath^(B) for Aram by driving out the people of Judah. Edomites then moved into Elath and have lived there to this day.

²⁵ In the seventh month, however, Ishmael son of Nethaniah, the son of Elishama, who was of royal blood, came with ten men and assassinated^(A) Gedaliah and also the men of Judah and the Babylonians who were with him at Mizpah.^(B)

¹⁸ Then they called out in Hebrew to the people of Jerusalem who were on the wall, to terrify them and make them afraid in order to capture the city.
